Troy High School's swim team is celebrating junior standout, Luke Leon Guerrero, who continues to make waves in the California swimming scene. His impressive performance last weekend at Mt. SAC secured him an automatic CIF D1 qualification in the 500 Free (4:36.58) and a consideration time of 1:41.59 in the 200 Free. Through his hard work and dedication, Luke has solidified his position as one of the state's top swimmers, and currently ranked #12 in California.

Luke's accomplishments and contributions to the swim team include breaking records and achieving personal bests at prestigious meets. At the Mt. SAC Winterfest, he tied the Troy High School record in the 500 Free with a remarkable time of 4:36.58, and achieved personal best in the 200 Free (1:41.59) at the same meet, further demonstrating his prowess in the pool.

In 2023, Luke's talent and dedication were recognized as he set a Troy High School and Freeway League record as a member of the 400 Free Relay Team (3:10.01.) He also made his mark at the Freeway League finals by earning another CIF D1 Automatic Qualifications in the 500 Free (4:36.58) leading him to state finals.

In addition to his time at Troy, Luke is an integral part of FAST swim club where he most recently competed in the Speedo Winter Junior Championship West, and finished strong at the Hawaii Senior Champs with three first place awards in the 500 Free, 1000 Free, and 1650 Free events.

Luke Leon Guerrero's extraordinary accomplishments over his high school career exemplify the talent and dedication of Troy High School's varsity swim team. As he continues to push the boundaries of his sport, Luke serves as an inspiration to his teammates and the entire Troy High School community.
