Troy High School's Dive Coach "Rob" McRobbie McLellan brings an extensive background in diving, marked by over two decades of experience in the dive community. A distinguished competitive career, including being a high school and college All-American diver, earned Coach Rob a full scholarship to Broward College in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, before establishing himself in Southern California. His coaching journey commenced at Marina High School in Huntington Beach, where his team clinched league championships and produced multiple NISCA Diving All-Americans.

Coach Rob's dedication to the sport led him to open his dive academy, addressing the absence of springboard and platform diving lesson programs in Orange County. This decision led him to work alongside four-time Olympic coach Scott Reich, training the internationally recognized SoCal Divers program. Joining Golden West College under the guidance of eight-time U.S. Olympic Swimming Coach Mark Schubert further refined Coach Rob's skills.

In 2017, Coach Rob assumed the role of Diving Coordinator for the LA84 Foundation's Summer Splash Program, facilitating free access to aquatic disciplines for inner-city youth. His responsibilities included training coaches on proper diving mechanics and team management. Coach Rob's diverse resume also includes successful stints as Head Coach for Chapman University and Head Diving Coach for the Pomona College and Pitzer College Sagehens, producing NCAA qualifiers and conference champions.

Spring 2023 marked a pivotal moment as Coach Rob inherited the FJUHSD dive program, extending his influence to all high school dive teams throughout the district. With a commitment to bringing home multiple championship titles, Coach Rob's coaching history reflects a profound impact on both collegiate and high school diving, emphasizing his dedication to athlete development and community outreach.
